SiliconShelf is brand new. Here is what is planned, stated plainly, so you can decide whether it is useful to you.
Honest starting point
- No traffic, subscriber or conversion figures exist yet, and none are claimed here.
- Pricing has not been decided. Early partners would get a say in the format.
- Listing in the directory is free and does not require paying anything. We index apps from public sources whether or not you get in touch.
Options under consideration
- Featured listing
- A clearly labelled "Sponsored" slot on the directory and on related app pages.
- Newsletter mention
- A labelled sponsor line in the weekly newsletter. No subscriber numbers are claimed here.
- Verified details (free)
- Developers can confirm facts such as open-source status, Shortcuts/Siri support or Foundation Models use, so tags reflect the app and not only keyword guesses.
What sponsorship will never do: change tags, stale flags, alternatives or the default sort order.
Labelling: sponsored and featured listings are always labelled as such (for example "Sponsored") and are visibly separate from the unpaid directory entries.
